LINE SHACK Releases Trio of Wines

Wednesday Aug 22

One of three new releases from LINE SHACK Winery is a 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine, made from grapes grown in the San Antonio Valley AVA, imparts the rich fruit flavors of ripe blackberries, plum and currants laced with spicy oak. Bob Balentine, winemaker and general partner, has bottled 3800 cases of the Cabernet Sauvignon.

LINE SHACK has also released limited quantities of 2006 Roussanne, also grown in the San Antonio Valley. This Rhone varietal is fragrant with tropical floral notes and honey and spice on the palate. The third in this trio is a 2006 Sauvignon Blanc redolent of fresh white peaches and pears, crisp and dry.

In the days of early California, Line Shacks were created to provide shelter, food and rest while working away from the home ranch. The Balentine Family has owned its own Line Shack for generations and have many fond memories of the times spent there. It was those memories that prompted them to name the winery after their Line Shack. The newly created label depicts a stylized impression of the wooden planks and multi-paned windows that make up the Line Shack. From the Balentine Family to you “Welcome to LINE SHACK”.
